Volunteer Resources

Training Sessions

Welcome Powerpoint - Explains who we are, what we do, how we do it and what to expect when you become a Robogals Volunteer

Volunteer Handbook - An official Robogals guide to being a volunteer, with information about the structure of the organisation, how workshops are organised and some advice on how to deal with the students during a lesson

Software

Want to see for yourself what you can do with the robots at home? All the software we use is freely available and can be downloaded here.

Lego Mindstorms EV3

You can download the official Lego Mindstorms EV3 software from here. This is what we use to program the EV3 robots and demonstrate to kids.

The committee has a copy of the older Lego Mindstorms NXT software (on disk) if you require it, just ask one of us.

National Instruments Labview

You can also program the Mindstorm robots using National Instruments Labview. You can download this program for free using an educational license if you are a student at the University of Southampton from https://www.software.soton.ac.uk/
